Abu Dhabi, March 28th: Al Manhal participated in Abu Dhabi's 22nd International Book Fair, jointly organized with the Frankfurt Book Fair. Al Manhal was located at the eZone and Service Providers Area, a specialized exhibition area tailored to the needs of new technology, digital content and publishing service organizations. At the eZone and Service Providers Area; the technology-driven area at the ADIBF, exhibitors showcased the latest in publishing services, e-reading devices, digital content and much more.
A vast number of librarians, publishers, and customers attended. The fair aimed to introduce a number of new initiatives aimed at encouraging the development of the publishing industry in the region. The Abu Dhabi book fair festival offered access to industry professionals and key market representatives in the region. The fair sumed more than 500,000 titles on display each year, where the possibilities of new business introductions and ventures are on the rise.
Mr. Mohamad Al Baghdadi, Al Manhal CEO, had several international reporters interview him, and was also featured in a brief TV interview regarding the status of Al Manhal and the future of the digitized Arabic content. Mr. Baghdadi also took part of a round table discussion session entitled “State of Digital Publishing in the Arab world” which took place on Thursday, March 29. The sessions focus was on providing publishers information regarding the state of digital publishing, and where the field is headed in the future. Al Manhal also aimed to create awareness of the products and services it offers and give an overview of the publishers and customers base it deals with.
