Riyadh, April 8: Al Manhal signed an ePublishing agreement at the Riyadh international Book Fair with the Arab Network for Research & Publishing (ANRP). The agreement was signed by General Manager of ANRP, Mr. Nawaf Al Qudeimi and Al Manhal Content Development Manager, Mr. Mohamad Shafi. Al Manhal provides solutions and services in the field of electronic publishing of content from the Arab world, such as books, journals, dissertations, and conferences in Arabic, English and French.

As per the agreement, Al Manhal will publish ANRP’s content on its platform and will market it worldwide for sale, available to universities, institutions, and scientific societies using the latest information technologies in the field of ePublishing.

Al Manhal’s platform is considered to be the first and the most advanced in the provision of academic and scientific content from the Arab world- with full-text search option, using the most advanced research tools while ensuring copyright protection for its publishing partners, using Digital Rights Management system (DRM).

Both sides discussed the publishing field and its turn from print to electronic. Demand from universities, and academic & scientific institutions for such publications has increased drastically, which in turn had an adverse effect on the marketing & sales of print books. ANRP and many Arab publishing institutions have realized this change and are searching for modern methods to make their material available to Arab readers of different ages, levels, interests and backgrounds to broaden the Arab culture and thought.
